In this Policy Brief, forthcoming in the Fall issue, leading international development specialists critique the methodology used in 2012 by FAO to count the world's hungry. The new measurements, they argue, underestimate the extent of hunger, are not sensitive to regional and country-specific variations, and obscure important policy lessons.
